SEBON now in clarification mode after introduction of Anti Money Laundering Regulation 2076; conducts intensive orientation and interaction event with 150 share market stakeholders

Securities Board of Nepal, with a joint support from Money Laundering Investigating Department and Financial Information Unit of NRB, has conducted a one-day orientation to around 150 representatives of stock brokers and merchant bankers on Asad 8, 2076 with an aim to properly orient the stock traders regarding the recently upgraded anti money laundering regulations 2076, soon to be implemented from Shrawan 1.

The orientation event was chaired by ED of the board Mr. Niraj Giri, and was facilitated by head of Financial Information Unit of NRB Mr. Ramu Paudel, director of Money Laundering Investigating Department Mr. Tej Prakash Prasai, Mr. Hari Kumar Nepal, and was attended by Deputy ED of the board Mr. Muktinath Shrestha Chairman of the board Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, who all had a same opinion that share traders now onwards should be extra vigilant to prevent any suspicious trading which could possibly aid for illegal and terrorist activities.
