Securities Board of Nepal, the market regulator, has announced the closure of Nepal Stock Exchange from Chaitra 10, 2076 for five trading days, keeping into consideration the dwindling involvement of the share investors and stock brokers in Nepal due to the ongoing Coronavirus concerns.

The board took the decision via its board meeting held on Chaitra 9, 2076 as per the authority provided by the Securities Act 2063, as per the media statement.

Earlier, the secondary market had witnessed a dismal performance from the investors on Sunday when the only secondary market was kept open despite of the red flags from different associations of investors.
