SEBON celebrates its 27th anniversary with range of events; 3 postgraduates from different business schools receive recognition for their amazing work of thesis

Securities Board of Nepal has celebrated its 27th anniversary on Jestha 25, 2076 under the leadership of its chairman Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki.

The AGM was also attended by Federal Finance Minister Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada who highlighted the good practices which were included in the recently presented federal fiscal budget to address the demands of the sharemarket. He also pointed the need to funnel in certain portion of remittance money into the stock market of Nepal.

The event was also attended by chair of Nepal Charter Accountant Association Mr. Jagannath Upadhyay, former chair of SEBON Mr. Deepak Raj Kafle, chair of Electricity Regulation Commission Mr. Dilli Bahadur Singh, chair of Nepal Industrial Federation Mr. Satish More, ED of NEPSE Mr. Chandra Singh Saud, head of Postal Stamp Department Ms. Munuka Neupane, chair of board’s employee union Mr. Raju Bahadur G.C., among others.

The event also saw inauguration of postal stamp to commemorate the silver jubilee anniversary of the board by Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada, latest news bulletin by board chairman Dr. Karki, and SEBON journal 8th edition by chair of NIF Mr. More.

Likewise, the board has awarded Karobar daily newspaper for its contribution towards sharemarket through the field of journalism. The board awarded Mr. Somraj Nepal of Uniglobe College under Pokhara University with cash prize of Rs 70 thousand, Rs 45 thousand to Mr. Krishna Pokhrel of Kathmandu University School of Management,  and Rs 35 thousand to Mr. Ganesh Khatri from DAV Business School PU for their excilent thesis works.

The board also awarded Mr. Dipak Chettri for his 20 long years of service to the board amid the same event.
