SEBON brings changes in the policy of PAN issue! Get you PAN number only if you transact Rs 5 lakhs or above

Earlier, SEBON had made the issue of PAN number mandatory to all the investors involved in secondary market starting from 1^st Baisakh, 2076. However, after discussion with investors and concerned authorities, SEBON has decided to mandate PAN number only if the investor’s transaction is Rs 5 lakhs or more than Rs 5 lakhs.

Releasing the press statement, SEBON contended that it was a step undertaken to encourage small investors. Therefore, those investors who are transacting less than Rs 5 lakhs don’t require PAN number.
