SEBON and IFC work together to educate Lamjung and Dolakha folks regarding hydropower shares

Securities Board of Nepal, in association with World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation has conducted financial and sharemarket awareness events at Lamjung of province 4 and Dolakha of Province 3. The Lamjung event was conducted on Poush 1 and 2 with presence of around 80 participants with chief guest from District Coordination Committee Mr. Lok Raj Pandey. The event was also attended by Director of the board Mr. Narayan Prashad Sharma, Deputy Director Mr. Rewat Shrestha among others.

Likewise, the board also conducted similar program at Dolakha on Poush 6 and 7, 2075 which was chaired by District Coordination Committee head Mr. Prabal Pandey with presence of around 90 participants. The event was also attended by Director of the board Mr. Ambika Prashad Giri, Acting Director Mr. Anuj Kumar Rimal among others.

Both the districts have seen massive public shares floated to the general public by number of hydropower projects. The events discussed about the issues pertaining to sharemarket with respect to local’s access to hydropower stocks.
