NEPSE Index Edges Up By 0.26 points ; Turnover Hits Rs. 4.89 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a minimal gain, gaining 0.26 points (0.01%) to close at 2,599.15. This follows a 4.82 -point loss in the previous trading session.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2,597.55 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,605.72 and a low of 2,589.12 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.89 Arba, with 12,065,555 shares traded across 353 companies through 51,745 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.70 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.15 Kharba.

 

Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 30.53 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 459.90.

 

Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd (SINDU) led the gainer's list with a 10.11% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 489.90.

 

Meanwhile, Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 9.66%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 524.00 .

 

Among sectors, the Banking SubIndex recorded the highest gain, gaining by 0.39%, while Trading Index recorded the highest loss, down 1.05%.
