Sanjen jalavidhyut reports its Q3 with management clarification about the projects; Look at the major highlights

Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited (SJCL) has reported a net loss of Rs. 2.12 crores in the Q3 of FY 2077/2078. The company had posted a net loss of Rs. 1.15 crores in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year.

The company reported administrative and operating expenses at Rs. 1.02 crores in Q3 of FY 2077/2078.

As per the management, two hydropower plants; Sanjen (Upper) of 14.8 MW which is already 98% completed, and Sanjen Jalavidhyut Aayojana with a capacity of 42.5 MW which is 79% completed. The management further clarifies that Sanjen (Upper) is expected to be completed in Poush of 2078 and Sanjen Jalavidhyut Aayojana is expected to be completed in Ashad of 2079. The total cost of the project for Sanjen Jalavidhyut Aayojana and Sanjen (Upper) was expected to be 5 Arba 2 crores and 42 lakhs, and 2 Arba 21 crores 80 lakhs respectively. However, due to various internal and external factors affecting the projects, the total cost might be affected. 

The hydropower company has a paid-up capital of Rs. 3.28 Arba with a negative reserve of Rs. 15.87 Crore in Q3 of FY 2077/2078. The long-term borrowings of the company stand at Rs. 5.20 Arba; an increment of 32.49%.

The annualized EPS of the company stands in the negative zone. The net worth per share was reported at Rs. 95.17.
