Sagarmatha Insurance reports 22.40% growth in the net profit till Q2 end; net worth per share crosses Rs.200

Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC) net profit has increased by 22.40% in the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2076/77. The company earnings have increased from Rs.8.48 Crore to Rs.10.39 Crore in Q2 of the FY 2076/77.
SIC has a paid up capital of Rs.1 Arba with a reserve and surplus of Rs.28.15 Crore. It has Rs.62.13 Crore in insurance fund and Rs.10.46 Crore in contingent fund.
The net earnings from premium rose to Rs.56.83 Crore till Q2 from Rs.51.99 Crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year. The company has earned Rs.4.21 Crore from investment, loans and others headings and its reinsurance income stands at Rs.16.40 Crore.
The company’s number of policyholders increased from 65,421 in the corresponding quarter to 87,583 in Q2. The EPS and net worth per share stands at Rs.20.73 and Rs.200.64. The quarter end P/E ratio of the company is at 28.42 times.
