Rolpa declared fully literate district

Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has declared Rolpa district a fully literate district amid a programme on Thursday. Rolpa is 21st district to achieve the literacy rate standing at 97.24 of the total population. The district records the population of 2,24,097 persons. Furthermore, Vice-President Pun on the same occasion declared Ropla as the 28th open-defecation free district. Addressing the programme, Pun underscored the need for one and all to come forward in making national sanitation campaign a success for a prosperous Nepal. He admitted that it was very challenging for the government to achieve the target of bringing every household in the country to the reach of drinking water and sanitation services. RSS
