Role of private sector essential for country's dev : Chief Secy Subedi

Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi has said that the private sector has a significant role to play for the development of the country as industry and business are the main basis for country's development. Subedi was addressing a programme organised at the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) building in the Capital today, on the occasion of NCC's 63rd anniversary. Dr Subedi also hoisted a flag of the NCC on the occasion. Likewise, on the occasion, Indra Upadhyay, Secretary at the Ministry of the Commerce and Supplies, said NCC's support is essential for economic development of the country and that the government is positive towards promoting the private sector. Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, chairman of the NCC, said that the government should take initiations towards uplifting the 'unofficial blockade' by India on the border. RSS
