Rise in Losses and Fall in NAV of Citizens Mutual Fund-1 and Citizens Mutual Fund-2 in Mangsir

Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1), a 7-year closed-end mutual fund scheme has published its monthly report for the month of Mangsir, 2079. The scheme is managed by CBIL Capital with Citizens International Bank Limited as the fund sponsor.
As per the report, a mutual fund has reported a slight fall in Net Assets Value (NAV) to Rs. 8.93 from Rs. 8.96. The scheme which began with a fund size of Rs. 82 crores has invested Rs. 42.91 crores in the shares of listed companies and Rs. 17.21 lakhs in non-listed shares. This scheme has invested Rs. 10.5 crores in fixed return assets, Rs 15.72 crores in debentures, and Rs. 4.05 crores in the bank balance.
It has reported a net loss of Rs. 1.76 crores till Mangsir. The fund had reported a net loss of Rs. 1.47 crores in the month before that.
Citizens Mutual Fund-2 (CMF2) is CBIL Capital Limited's second mutual fund scheme and is a 7-year closed-end fund. The scheme has published its NAV report for the month of Mangsir, 2079.
As per the report, the NAV has fallen to Rs. 9.69 till Mangsir's end which was 9.77 a month ago. The scheme, which began with a fund size of Rs. 56 crores has invested Rs. 33.25 crores in the shares of listed companies and Rs. 11.77 lakhs in non-listed shares. This scheme has invested Rs. 7 crores in fixed return assets, Rs 9.86 crore in debentures, and Rs. 3.89 crores in the bank balance.
It has reported a net loss of Rs. 1.33 crores till Mangsir's end. Whereas, in the month before that a net loss was Rs. 87.71 lakhs of this fund.
