Respect NRB role on nation economy

KATHMANDU, JAN 06: 

The stakeholders have said Nepal Rastra Bank should be respected for its contribution to the financial sector of the country.

The speakers at the eleventh general convention of the Association of Former Employees at the NRB said the NRB had tremendous role to create foundation to nation's economy.

On the occasion, NRB Governor Yuvraj Khatiwada said the NRB, despite various political and economic changes in the country, was not affected and it would not be in future either.

The senior fellows retired from the NRB were in need of extending help to continue positive works of the NRB, he said, adding that they could help in the health insurance and real state.

First Governor of the NRB, Himalaya Shumsher Rana reminded that only after the establishment of NRB, Nepal's currency was internationally liberated.

Association Chairman Dr Rewat Bahadur Karki said the contribution of the former employees at the NRB was resulted in the present financial system of the country.
