Rays of hope accelerates as Dr. Khatiwada seeks donor aid from World Bank

On Friday, Finance minister; Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada left Washington in order to discuss about the World Bank’s 2019-2023 Country Partnership Framework (CPF). The purpose of this meeting is significant as the minister will disclose the need of more donor aids to assist economic growth of the country.

For this, Dr. Khatiwada will reveal the vision, strategic plans and goals of current government regarding federalism, resource mobilization and inclusive growth. A day has been segregated by the World Bank where Dr. Khatiwada will meet several representatives of International Donor Agencies and speak up about the challenges Nepal faces to attain the objectives of Sustainable Development Goals.

Minister Khatiwada is also likely to hold meeting with senior officials from IMF and USAID. It is estimated that Nepal will be able to get about $300 to $400 million fund annually from International Donor Agencies for the upcoming five years.
