Rastriya Banijya Bank opens corporate branch in central office; proposed government for conversion of 30% stake into public

Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited has opened its corporate branch office in the Bank’s central office, Singha Durbar Plaza. Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara inaugurated the newly opened corporate branch on the occasion of Golden Jubilee. Till Ashad end the bank has collected deposits of Rs 1.46 kharba and has disbursed Rs 85.99 arba in loan and advances. The bank has paid up capital of Rs 8.58 arba. In a press note published by the commercial bank Dr. Rabindra Prasad Pandey, Chairman of the bank said that Rastriya Banijya Bank is thriving for financial deepening and inclusiveness.The bank is aiming to increase its branch office up to 195 in 68 districts of the country added in the press note. Untitled   Amid the program, Mr. Kiran Kumar Shrestha, CEO of the bank and Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Chiranjibi Nepal requested Finance Minister Mahara for conversion of 30% stake of Rastra Banijya Bank to general public by floating shares worth approximately Rs 2 arba 70 crore. Furthermore the bank will open branch offices in India and China and add microfinance companies and registering RBB Merchant banking Limited in its name in near future. With the inauguration of corporate branch, the number of branches of the bank reached to 171. Likewise, the number of branchless banking service, ATM counters and extension counters has reached to 75, 86 and 16 respectively. rrr
