Price of Gold Reaches Rs 100,300 After Seven Months, Gains Rs. 600 Per Tola in Domestic Market Today

The price of gold has surged to one lakh per tola by gaining Rs. 600 in the Nepalese market today. The last time it crossed one lakh was seven months ago i.e. on April 25, 2022, with a market value of Rs. 100,200 per tola.

According to the official website of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded today at Rs. 100,300 per tola whereas Tejabi gold is being traded at Rs. 99,800 per tola. The all-time high of fine gold was last created on 2020-03-09 with a market price of Rs. 1,05,500 per tola. Yesterday, the rate of fine gold was maintained at Rs 99,700, and the price of Tejabi gold stood at Rs 99,200 per tola.

On the sideline, silver has gained Rs. 30 per tola. The lustrous white metal is being traded in the local market today at Rs. 1,390 per tola, compared to yesterday's closing rate of Rs. 1,360 per tola. Over the past week, the price of silver has increased by Rs. 45 per tola.

The price of gold and silver has been rising gradually in the national and international markets. The current rate of gold in the international market has reached USD $1,798.10 while silver is being traded at $23.26 per ounce. The gold price was USD $1,797.50 per ounce a week ago (last Friday).
