Preeti Rateria Agrawal Becomes First Marwari Woman from Nepal to Summit Everest

Preeti Rateria Agrawal has made history by becoming the first woman from Nepal’s Marwari community to successfully summit Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain peak. She reached the summit on the morning of May 21, 2026, alongside climbing guides Pasang Sherpa and Nima Thinduk Sherpa under the management of The Summit Force Pvt. Ltd..

With this remarkable achievement, Preeti has also become the world’s first Pranic Healer and Arhatic Yogi to scale Everest, earning praise and recognition from the Marwari community and mountaineering circles alike.

Preeti, daughter of Kamlesh Kumar Rateria, President of Sunsari Marwadi Samaj Kathmandu, has steadily built an inspiring mountaineering journey over the past two years.

Earlier, she became the first Marwari woman from Nepal to summit Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest mountain, on September 23, 2025. She began her climbing career with the ascent of Lobuche East in May 2024, followed by successful climbs of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mera Peak.

Community leaders and well-wishers have hailed her success as a proud moment for Nepal’s Marwari community and an inspiration for young dreamers across the country.
