Prabhu Bank to contribute as banking partner of Beti Padhau Beti bachau initiation of Province 2 Government

Prabhu Bank has agreed to work as a banking partner to take forward the “Beti Bachau Beti Padhau” movement launched by Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Province 2 under which the bank will help to implement “Chori Sikshya” Insurance Fixed Deposit account in the province. The agreement regarding the same was signed between Secretary of the council of ministers Mr. Hari Prashad Phuyal and D.MD of the bank Mr. Ashok Khadki amid a program.

Following the agreement, the bank will now open FD accounts for the newly born girls in 8 districts of province 2 after Magh 1, 2075 with the recommendation from the office of the council of ministers and the same will have the account maturity period of 20 years. The account will have Rs 13,646 which will amount to Rs 1 lakh after 20 years and the total amount would be handed over to the parents of the girl child, as per the scheme.

In addition, the bank will provide the total amount along with the interest to the depositor party in case the girl child passes away or suffers from the fatal disease or when she is bereaved of her parents, as further outlined in the scheme.

The bank aims to support the initiation of the province 2 government for women empowerment by safeguarding females’ right to life and education, as mentioned by the bank in its media statement.
