Pokhara gets ready for New Year Street Festival

Preparations for the 20th edition of the Pokhara Street Festival to be organized on the occasion of the English New Year 2019 are over, according to the organizers. 
Organizing a news conference in Pokhara on Wednesday, Chairman of Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal, Pokhara and coordinator of the festival main organizing committee Budharaj Bhujel said that all preparations for the festival were completed. 

The festival will be held from December 28, 2018 to January 1, 2019 with the theme of 'Let's Eat and Enjoy on the Road'. It is said that three kilometers road of the Lakeside area of the town would organize different programmes for the festival. 
He said that national and international cultural festivals and different cultural shows and different food recipes would be served to the guests. 
Projecting the savings of around 3 million from the festival, Bhujel added that the amount would be spent in social service and touristic development acts of the town. 
Targeting the security situation, 24 night vision cc camera and street lights have been fixed while night bus service would also be available during the festival, he said.
