Panchkhal intensifies preparation for investment summit

The Panchkhal municipality is all set to organize an investment summit within the current fiscal year. After an official decision to this effect, the municipality has started necessary preparation, the municipality office said. Municipality mayor Mahesh Kharel informed, 'We are hosting the investment summit within this fiscal year. Our preparation is going in full swing'. He further clarified that the summit of the investors and employers is taking place for overall development of Panchkhal.

'We are expecting the investment summit to be fruitful in the context when the national and international level development works have begun in Panchkhal', he added. Panchkhal has witnessed the beginning of the construction of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Wider Sunkoshi Panchkhal Drinking Water Project. Likewise, land has been allocated for the construction of National Youth Innovation Centre and integrated and smart city project. 'Especially we will draw investment for agriculture and livestock', the mayor shared.

Earlier, Tilottama municipality had hosted an investment summit for the first time in October. The first-ever summit hosted by the local government (Tilottama) had witnessed an investment commitment of over Rs 15 billion from domestic and foreign investors.
