Paid up capital of Prabhu Bank reaches Rs 5.24 arba; Serving more than 7.5 lakh customers through 136 branches

Prabhu Bank and Grand Bank Nepal Ltd. have started joint operation from today. The joint operation of these commercial banks has started as Prabhu Bank Ltd., from today. Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, inaugurated the program conducted at central office of Prabhu Bank Ltd., Babarmahal, Kathmandu. Chairman of Grand Bank Nepal, Mr. Swarup Gurung, Chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Rajesh Kaji Shrestha,Chairman of Nepal Bankers Association, Mr. Uprendra Paudel, Chairman of SEBON, Dr. Rewat bahadur Karki and General Manager of NEPSE Mr. Sitaram Thapaliya congratulated the successful merger process between these banks. Prabhu Bank initiated its financial journey as Prabhu Finance a decade ago with Rs 5 crore paid up capital. On the very occasion, Prabhu Bank felicitated its customers Birendra Kumar Chaudhary, Palden Chhetang Gurung and Prem Bahadur Tamang. These customers are taking advantage of the Agricultural loan being provided by the bank. After the successful merger between Prabhu Bank and Grand Bank Nepal, the paid up capital of Prabhu Bank remains at Rs 5.24 arba , deposits of Rs 56 arba, loan and advances of Rs 41 arba. At present, the commercial bank has 136 branch offices, 122 ATM counters and the depositors number has reached more than 7.50 lakh.
