Over 2,000 govt employees recommended for action last year; centre also conducted a technical evaluation of 18 national pride projects

The National Vigilance Centre (NVC) said it recommended action against 2,377 government employees for not following the office hour in the fiscal year 2074/75 BS. 

Centre Spokesperson Bishnu Raj Lamichhane shared the information that NVC inspected 1,140 government offices and made the recommendation for action to the absentees. 

The information came to light after the NVC presented its annual report of the fiscal year 2074/75 BS before Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday. 

Secretary at the Centre, Bishnu Om Bade, submitted the 16th annual report to the PM reaching the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. 

Out of the 1,239 complaints filed at the Centre, 903 cases were finalized, reads the annual report. The Centre also conducted a technical evaluation of 18 national pride projects and 18 others. 

Similarly, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has been asked to take action against 19,134 office-bearers of public posts for not submitting the property details.
