The government of Nepal has decided to grant a public holiday across the country today, Falgun 9 on the occasion of Gyalpo Lhosar.
Gyalpo Lhosar is a new year festival of the Sherpa people of Nepal and the Sikkim and Darjeeling regions of India. While Gyalpo Lhosar is celebrated for 2 weeks by the related communities, theof government has declared a day's public holiday for all.
As such, NEPSE is also closed today. The trading was closed on Sunday on the occasion of Prajatantra Diwas as well.
