NRB's Call For Financial Consciousness: A Guiding Message

It has come to Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) attention that scammers are using the names and images of high-ranking individuals and organization heads to create fake accounts on WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, and other platforms. Scammers  exploit these accounts to send messages requesting money under false pretenses.

These fraudulent messages may appear trustworthy as they seem to come from someone familiar or in a position of authority. However, it's crucial to exercise caution and thoroughly verify any such requests before engaging in financial transactions. Let's not fall victim to the deceit, greed, or falsehoods propagated by these fraudsters.

Given the increased risk of online fraud in digital financial transactions, it's imperative to approach all transactions with utmost care. Always verify the details of the recipient before proceeding with any financial transactions.
