NRB Reintroduces Work From Home Modality for Banks and Financial Institutions

Nepal Rastra Bank has reintroduced the Work From Home modality in Banks and Financial institutions.

Nepal Rastra Bank issued a circular in the name of banks and financial institutions today in response to the growing Coronavirus cases. 

In the directive, it has been mentioned that a business community plan should be prepared for the continuity of service flow in compliance with the standards related to health security issued by the Government of Nepal. Furthermore, arrangements should be made for the attendance of employees in the rotation system as per the need.

Similarly, NRB has asked to implement the work-from-home arrangement by taking into consideration the system of lockdown and odd-even vehicle rule implemented by the government in various places.

Furthermore, NRB has also instructed BFIs to encourage electronic transactions during this time.
