NRB and Rastriya Banijya Bank Sign MoU to Operate Revolving Fund under SEDRA Project

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited (RBB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Magh 27, 2082 (Tuesday) to operate a Revolving Fund established under the Sustainable Economic Development in Rural and Semi-Urban Areas (SEDRA) project. The fund, supported financially by the German Development Bank (KfW), aims to expand financial access and promote small and medium enterprises in rural and semi-urban regions.

The agreement was signed by Acting Director Shikha Adhikari Regmi on behalf of NRB and CEO Devendra Raman Khanal on behalf of RBB, in the presence of the German Ambassador to Nepal, the NRB Governor, and other officials. Established in 1966 as a fully government-owned bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank currently provides banking services to over 4.7 million customers through 313 branches, 71 extension counters, 322 ATMs, and 99 branchless banking units across all 77 districts of Nepal.
