NMB becomes first bank in Nepal to receive ISO 27001:2013 Certification  from TÜV Rheinland

NMB Bank has become the ‘first  bank in Nepal’ to achieve ISO 27001:2013 Certification from TÜV Rheinland, Germany, in recognition of its compliance with the highest standards in developing and implementing Information Security Management System (ISMS) to protect customer’s data and maintain security of stakeholder’s information assets.

The certificate was awarded by Mr. Thomas Ernst Gottfried Fuhrmann, Managing Director, TUV Rheinland to Mr. Sunil K.C, Chief Executive Officer, NMB Bank. Founded 145 years ago, TÜV Rheinland is a  global leader in independent inspection services and ISO Certification.

The ISO 27001 standard certifies NMB to have established methodologies and framework for business and IT processes to help identify, manage and reduce risks to the security of information systems. ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification is widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standards.
