NMB Bank reports 48% rise in net profit to Rs 1.14 arba; Net worth per share at Rs 161

NMB Bank Limited (NMB) has registered a 48.29% increase in its net profit in the third quarter (Q3) of the current fiscal year 2073/74. According to the unaudited financial report published by the commercial bank today, its net profit has surged to Rs 1.14 arba in third quarter, up from Rs 77.11 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year 2072/73. The operating profit increased to Rs 1.16 arba from Rs 86.72 crore as compared to the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year. A moderate write-back of Rs 49.98 crore has helped it convert almost all of the operating profit to net profit. NMB’s net interest income has risen to Rs 1.85 arba in the third quarter as compared to Rs 1.37 arba in the corresponding quarter last year. Its deposits collection increased by a massive 23.84% to Rs 71.15 arba in Q3 from only Rs 57.45 arba in the corresponding period last year. Likewise, it has also been able to increase its loans by similar figures. Up to the end of Q3, it extended loans and advances of Rs 60.24 arba whereas in the same period last year, the figure stood at Rs 48.45 arba. Its non-performing loan has remained stagnant at 1.70% in the review period. Annualized Earning per share (EPS) of NMB stands at Rs 23.60 and net worth per share is at Rs 161.21. Its paid up capital and reserves remain at Rs 6.46 arba and Rs 3.95 arba respectively. Major Highlights:
