NIC Asia starts branchless banking from Illam, Godak
In order to diversify and expand its services to remote parts of Nepal, NIC Asia has established its 4th branchless banking outlet at Ghattabazar-Godak, Illam.
The bank has chosen Mr. Dharma Mani Gautam as the representative for the operation of branchless banking services.
Through this service, the people from remote areas can enjoy banking services from their local representatives. The services include deposit account opening, depositing and withdrawal of stipulated amount, mobile recharging, utilities services such as telephone, ADSL, Dish home etc. bill payment, credit transaction upto authorized amount and summarized bank statement preparation.
NIC Asia Bank now has a network of 187 branches, 190 ATMs, 4 extension counters, 4 branchless banking unit and more than 5000 remittance payment agents (direct and indirect). As per the statement, the bank has the highest number of branches and ATM among all the banks in the country.
