NIC Asia Bank registers a net profit of Rs 1.07 arba; NPL declines to 0.82%

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) has reported profit growth of 57.29 percent for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73.
According to the unaudited financial report published by the commercial bank today, its net profit has increased to Rs 1.07 arba in fourth quarter up from Rs. 68.90 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year 2071/72.
NIC Asia Bank’s net interest income increased to Rs 1.97 arba in Q4 up from Rs 1.57 arba in the corresponding quarter. Its paid up capital remains at Rs 4.57 arba and reserve remains at Rs 2.87 arba. The bank has posted an operating profit of Rs 1.34 arba.
The write back of provision for possible losses has increased to Rs 32.32 crore from Rs 18.30 crore as compared to the Q4 of fiscal year 2071/72.
The bank amassed a huge amount of deposits in the Q4 of the ongoing fiscal year. Deposits collection reached Rs 69.48 arba in Q4 from Rs 53.47 arba in the corresponding period last year.
Likewise, it has extended loans and advances of Rs 58.45 arba in Q4 whereas in the same period last year the figure stood at Rs 42.14 arba.
Its non-performing loan has decreased to 0.82 percent in Q4 from 2.07 percent in the fourth quarter of the previous year.
NICA’s earning per share (EPS) stand at Rs 28.4, net worth per share at Rs 197.68, and the P/E ratio at 28.10 times.
