The newly licensed stock broker companies have commenced trading on Thursday, marking the end of a prolonged dispute to obtain the license. The company recently received business permission from NEPSE, the Nepal Stock Exchange.
Seven companies, which had been granted licenses by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), have now entered the trading arena. The Supreme Court intervened in the dispute over the new broker's license, eventually paving the way for its issuance.
Initially, the Finance Committee of the Parliament raised concerns about re-evaluating the license distribution process. However, the committee later decided against an investigation and provided instructions to proceed with the transaction process.
The seven new companies and their respective broker numbers are Bhole Ganesh Securities Limited (61), Capital Max Securities Limited (62), Himalayan Brokerage Company Limited (63), Sun Securities Private Limited (64), Sharepro Securities Private Limited (65), Miyo Securities Private Limited (66), and Property Wizard Limited (67).
