NESPE slides by 12.21 points to 1171.27 level; Less Bonus from BFIs & Blockade from India took a toll on market

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went down by 12.21 points or 1.03 % to close at 1171.27 level. Opening at 1183.48levels this afternoon, the local bourse came down to 1172.68 level during the first trading hour of the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 37.53 crore where more than 4.88 lakhs unit shares were traded through 2,068 transactions. Turnover and volume were significantly down compared to the last day. All the sectors at NEPSE landed in red except development bank. Sensitive index and the float index went down by 2.78 points and 0.88 points respectively. Today Jyoti Bikas Bank announced 9% bonus shares. Nabil Bank limited, Prabhu Bank Limited, Sahayogi Bikas Bank Limited and Janaki Finance Company have revealed their capital plans. ILFC, MNBBLP, NICA, NIBPO, NBB, NABILP, KBL, GBIME, CBL and ARUN were among the top traded shares. CBBL, PFC, NLBBL, DDBL, ARUN, NIL, SETI, SINDU, CNDBL, SBBLJ were among the top gainers of the day. LLBS, KNBL, NABIL, HAMA, NABILP, KRBL, MDBL, KPBL, MNBBL and UFCL were the top losers of the day.
