NEPSE's Downfall Interrupted with Loss of 69.98 Points in Three Trading Days; Market Cap Fell Below 30 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,019.85 points, as the index experienced a considerable loss of 28.40 points or 1.38% compared to the previous day's closing. On Monday, the index experienced a marginal loss of 3.21 points.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 2,047.72 and briefly touching an intraday high of 2,055.31. However, the market reached an intraday low of 2,013.37, before finally settling at the closing value of 2,019.85.
During today's trading, a total of 265 scrips were exchanged through 74,257 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 4,860,741, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.73 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.92 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.57 Kharba.

The recently IPO-issued and subsequently listed companies IME Life Insurance Company Limited reported the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 17.89 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 589.

Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL) gained the highest as it hit the positive circuit for the day to close at Rs. 759.

Meanwhile, 10.25% GLOBAL IME BANK LTD. DEBENTURE 2080/81 (GBD80/81) experienced the highest decline of 9%.

Among the sub-indices, all sub-indices closed red, "Finance" lost the highest 2.69 percent while the "Mutual Fund" and "Investment" sub-index lost the least 0.72 percent each.
