Fri, Apr 18, 2014 12:00 AM on Others, Others,

ShareSansar, 18th April:

The Nepse index on the first week of 2071 B.S. remained more or less static. The benchmark index came to settle at 811.12 level which is 0.22 point less than that of prior week’s closing level.

Though the local bourse ended its previous year in good note with a gain of 6.29 points, same was not the case on the following days.

Marking its first trading day for the year 2071 B.S., the benchmark index made a scanty gain of 0.93 point; however, on the following days it suffered loss of 7.12 points and 0.34 point respectively.

The stagnant transition in market was more or less attributed by the wait and watch approach adopted by the investors. As the market has recently witnessed the third quarter ending, most of the traders and investors are currently waiting for the report of the listed companies.

The third quarter report gives much clearer prospect of the companies attainable earning by the end of this fiscal year which helps to draw slight conclusion regarding possible dividend in future date. This fact has kept most of the market players on wait n watch zone.

Likewise, Development also sustain on green zone with a surge of 5.71 points.

While, Others suffered the highest loss of 19.97 points. Similarly, Banking, Finance and Trading also dropped by 5.34 points ,2.10 points and 3.13 points  respectively.

In case of, Sensitive index, which measures the movement of blue chip companies, it declined by 1.05 points to settle at 173.76 level.  While, Float index, which measures the movement of ordinary shares only, increased by 0.10 point to settle at 54.99 level.
