NEPSE Witnessed Single-Digit Gain of 7.04 Points; ILI Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,967.83 points, as the index gained a minimal 7.04 points or 0.35% compared to the previous day's closing. The index lost 29.81 points yesterday.

The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,960.79 and made an intraday high of 1,977.96. However, the market reached an intraday low of 1,946.62, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,967.83.

During today's trading, a total of 270 scrips were exchanged through 32,533 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 3,432,267, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.09 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.45 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.37 Kharba.

 

IME Life Insurance Company Limited (ILI) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 5.28 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 559. The shares of GBIMEP traded the most.

Similarly, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) gained the highest 10%, hitting the upper circuit for the day.

Meanwhile, Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) lost the highest 9.98% today.

In terms of sector indices, only the "Finance Index" closed in red. "Trading Index" gained the highest 1.06% while "Investment" gained the least 0.05% today.
