NEPSE Witnessed Minimal Loss of 0.25% to Close at 1,993.42 Levels While Turnover Shrinks to Rs 86.51 Crores

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,993.42 points, as the index lost 5.05 points or 0.25% compared to the previous day's closing. Yesterday, the index gained 5.09 points.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,999.01 and made an intraday high of 2,002.81. However, the market reached an intraday low of 1,988.51, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,993.42.
During today's trading, a total of 280 scrips were exchanged through 38,666 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 3,895,236, representing a turnover of Rs. 86.51 Crores. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.84 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.50 Kharba.
Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 3.62 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 275.
Similarly, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) gained the highest 10%, hitting the upper circuit for the day.
Meanwhile, Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) lost the highest 4.83% today.
In terms of sector indices, the Mutual Fund sector gained the most with a 0.25 percent positive change. The Hotel and Tourism Index lost the most for the day with a 0.63% negative change.
