NEPSE Witnessed Minimal Loss of 0.09% to Close at 2,010.21 Levels; Microfinance Sector Gain Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight loss of 0.09%, or 1.85 points, settling at 2,010.21 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 6.26 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,014.55, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,018.07 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,004.28.

With a bustling trading environment, 312 different stocks were exchanged in 46,235 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 6,131,621, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.29 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 31.87 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.75 Kharba.

 

Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 14.98 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 880.00.

 

Similarly, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GMFBS) with a gain of 9.95%.

 

Conversely, Jyoti Bikash Bank Bond 2087 (JBBD87) faced a decline, losing 7.50% to close at Rs. 925.

 

In terms of sector, Six Sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Microfinance Index" leading with a gain of 1.89%. However, the "HydroPower Index" witnessed a decline of 0.79%.
