NEPSE welcomes festival of Dashain with gain of 0.40 points; Turnover’s kite seems to be sinking at 22 Crore

The market today hit a low of 1213.6 points and high of 1218.86 points. The market closed to gain 0.40 points or 0.03% at 1218.33 points. However, the turnover today was below average at Rs.22.65 Crore which was achieved from trade of 856,187 units of shares through 4,532 transactions trading scrips of 162 listed companies.

Sanima Mai Hydropower (SHPC) topped the turnover and shares traded list with turnover of Rs.3.42 Crore achieved through trade of 118,051 units of shares. LTP of the hydropower company stood at Rs.286 per share. SHPC was followed by Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL) on both the lists with turnover of Rs.1.60 Crore through trade of 74,557 units of shares. The LTP of the bank stood at Rs.216 per share.

The top gainer today was Mega Bank Limited (MEGA) gaining 4 points or 3.11% to close at Rs.197 per share. Today’s top loser was City Express Finance Company (CEFL) after it lost 5.45% or 6 points to close at Rs.104 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.19 points and closed at 258.68 points while Float Index gained 0.02 points and closed at 88.43 points.

Only Banking sector and Manufacturing and Production sector were among the gaining sub-indices while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone. Banks gained 0.22% or 2.38 points while Manufacturing sector gained 0.26% or 6.15 points. Hydropower sector lost 0.41% or 5.61 points to be today’s top losing sub-index. None of the scrips of Trading companies were traded today.
