NEPSE to remain close for 3 days; Resume trading on Thursday at 1306.54 points

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain close on Falgun 24 (Monday), Falgun 25 (Tuesday) and Falgun 26 (Wednesday) on the auspicious occasions of Shivaratri, International Women’s day and Gyalpo loshar respectively.

The trading will resume on Falgun 27 (Thursday) at the usual time.

On the first trading day of the week, yesterday, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 5.78 points or 0.44% to close at 1306.54 points. This is the highest level NEPSE has ever reached in the history of capital market of Nepal.

NEPSE index opened  at 1300 points on Sunday and was seen in an upward trend.

The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 78.24 crore where more than 10.09 lakhs unit shares were traded through transactions. Top 11 companies in top gainers has hit circuit break today.

Sensitive index and float index went up by  0.91 points and 0.43 points respectively.

Except Finance and others , all the sectors landed in green. Insurance sector went up by 118.86 points.
