NEPSE takes baby steps towards the positive directions as turnover continues to fall; Chautari Laghubitta hit the positive circuit

The market today made minimum movement towards the positive direction. The benchmark index gained 0.12% or 1.34 points and closed at 1128.86 points. Today’s turnover was of Rs.20.27 Crore which was achieved from trade of 687,336 units of shares traded through 4,982 transactions trading scrips of 166 listed companies in the process.

Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) dominated the traded today after posting a turnover of Rs.1.40 Crore which was achieved through trade of 61,013 units of shares. The LTP of the hydropower project stands at Rs.232 per share.

Chautari Laghubitta (CHLBS) hit the positive circuit today after it gained 9.89% or 28 points to close at Rs.311 per share. Today’s top loser was Barun Hydropower (BARUN) after it lost 3% or 3 points to close at Rs.97 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.19 points and closed at 240.40 points while Float Index gained 0.10 points and closed at 82.06 points.

Banking and Manufacturing & Processing were the only sub-indices in the red zone after they lost 0.15% and 0.53% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended up gaining points with Development Banks gaining the most at 0.96%.
