NEPSE Slumps Below 2000 To Close at 1993.38 Levels; Recently-listed Kutheli Bukhari Hydro Hits Positive Circuit

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,993.38 points, as the index lost by 20.54 points or 1.02% compared to the previous day's closing. On the last trading day, the index experienced a loss of 31.52 points.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 2,014.21 and made an intraday high of 2,016.11. However, the market reached an intraday low of 1,989.22, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,993.38.
During today's trading, a total of 280 scrips were exchanged through 38,666 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 3,895,236, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.26 Arba.
Asian Life Insurance Co. Limited (ALICL) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 7.46 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 694.
Similarly, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) gained the highest 10%, hitting the upper circuit for the day.
Meanwhile, Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower Limited (MAKAR) lost the highest 9.63% today.
In terms of sector indices, only the Mutual Fund sector closed green while the remaining sector closed red. The Hydropower Index lost the most for the day with a 1.75% negative change.
