NEPSE slips for second consecutive day; NEPSE index losses 18.6 points post budget

Market is uni-directional today, as a result of high selling pressure NEPSE index keeps on making lower lows throughout the day and was not able to retrace a bit. Investors are blaminng increased CGT tax for NEPSE index downtrend.

The market today had opened at 1,322.34 points and closed at 1,307.68 points by loosing 14.61points (1.10%).

Comparing yesterday, today's turnover has decreased by 20.57% to Rs 34.59 crore ; more than 7.08 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 4,159 transactions.

Nepal Doorsanchar company (NTC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.82 crore worth of shares were traded.

Similarly, Nepal Bank limited(NBL) has top in case of number of shares traded as 75,469 unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Suryodaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha whose price increased by 2.06% closing at Rs. 1,670.

Whereas Mega Bank (MEGA) was the top loser of the day losing 9.64% on its price to close at Rs 206. Mega Bank was a top loser of last two trading days.

 

The sub-index for trading was only in the green zone while all other subindices declined and closed in the red zone.

The insurance sector lost the most  by 115.72points (1.66%); Trading sector was the top gainer with 1.46% increment.
