NEPSE slightly moves upward to close at 1,217.65 points; Rastriya Beema Company ends being the top loser for the day

The local bourse at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has shown signs of improvement and has recorded increment of 6.77 points to close at 1,217.65 points. The market that had started at 1,210.88 points had recorded 13.51 points increment at a point but the market closed recording 0.56% increment.

During the trading period, the total turnover of Rs 33.003 crore was observed from the trading of 10,97,911 unit shares. Shares of 167 listed companies were traded through 4,097 transactions.

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) stood ahead as top stock in terms of turnover as shares worth more than Rs 2.74 crore were traded during the day. Similarly, Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) was in terms of top stocks by shares traded as 1,00,635 units were traded during the day.

Kisan Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMFL) was the top gainer for the day as the price of the share increased by 150 points and its LTP stood at Rs 1,750. However, the promoter share of Rastriya Beema Company (RBCLPO) was the top loser for the day as the price of the share decresed by 750 points and its LTP stood at Rs 8,800.

Both the sensitive index and float index increased by 1.85 points and 0.64 points respectively.

Among the sub-indices, Finance and Non-Life Insurance sector ended in the red zone. Hotels recorded 49.48 points increment whereas Non-Life Insurance sector lost 65.28 points during the trading period.
