NEPSE Settles Today's Session With 0.52% Gain; HDHPC Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,942.68 points, as the index gained 10.23 points or 0.52% compared to the previous day's closing. The index lost 28.92 points last Thursday.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,933.25 which is also the intraday low. However, the market reached an intraday high of 1,946.75, before finally settling at the closing value of 1,942.68.
During today's trading, a total of 276 scrips were exchanged through 33,064 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 4,314,417, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.07 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.08 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.24 Kharba.
Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 8.56 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 118.
Similarly, Suryodaya Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWMF) gained the highest 10%, followed by Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) with 9.99%.
Meanwhile, Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) lost the highest 7.81% today.
In terms of sector indices, only the Hydropower Index closed red. "Trading Index" lost the highest 1.67% while "Manufacturing and Processing Index" and "Mutual Fund" lost the least 0.17% each today.
