NEPSE Sees Minimal 1.18 Points Uptick From Yesterday's Plunge; Hotels and Tourism Sector Gains 3.76%

The NEPSE index closed at 2,977.02 today after gaining a minimal 1.18 points from yesterday's closing. The index had slipped 69.05 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,977.28 and made the intraday low at 2,961.12. While it went as high as 3,018.64, it ultimately closed at 2,976.98.

A total of 17,182,871 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 9.35 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 13.259 Arba. 226 scrips traded hands via 104,342 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 59.99 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 726 per share. The units of Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) traded the most.

Ru Ru Jalvidut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) gained the most 7.55%. On the other side of things, Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) lost the most 9.98% today.

Four sectors gained and all others closed red. While Hotels and Tourism gained the most 3.76%, Finance lost the most 2.75%.
