NEPSE sees green today; see how the sectors performed

NEPSE index had declined by 7.02 points yesterday, but today it has gained 4.89 points or 0.38%. The market had opened at 1,277.08 and swiftly started to climb within the hour. The index was seen fluctuating throughout the day and finally landed in the green zone closing at 1,281.84.
Total turnover worth Rs 23.7 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 5.5 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. 3,117 transactions were made for the transaction of the scrips. Both the sensitive and float index went up today by 1.3 and 0.35 points respectively.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 2.21 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBN) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 35 thousand unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, Shree Investment Finance Co. Ltd (SIFC) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 7.14 % and closed at Rs. 240. And, Arun Finance Limited (ARUN) was the top loser of the day losing 4.83% on its price.
The sub-indices for all sectors except Insurance, Manufacturing and processing and Microfinance inclined and landed in green zone. Manufacturing and processing sector was the loser of the day losing 32.65 points and Hotels sector was the top gainer for the day gaining 61.54 points.
