NEPSE rises after 3 Consecutive Days of Downtick; Non life Insurance and Hotel sectors rises by more than 2%

The market today closed at 1,442.61 levels, an overall 10.13 points, or 0.71% incline. NEPSE saw a positive uptick after 3 consecutive days of bearish downtick.

25.29 points volatility was witnessed in the trading today, wherein the highest level was 1442.61 and the lowest was 1417.32. Interestingly, today’s close was also intraday high.

A total of 3,392,969 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1,327,135,218 in the turnover amount. 187 scrips were traded via 28,649 transactions.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest turnover of Rs. 11.32 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 545 per share. Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the second-highest turnover of Rs. 10.29 crores. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) also had the highest number of shares traded for the day among all companies.

Float is up by 0.61 points and is currently at 101.45. On the other hand, the Sensitive Index is currently at 303.90 after gaining 0.74 points from the previous close.

Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited (TRH), Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MMFDB), Oriental Hotel Limited (OHL), and Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) hit a positive circuit today closing at Rs. 231, Rs. 682, Rs. 399, and Rs. 867 LTP respectively. On the other hand, Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) lost the most 5.36%.

Development Banks and Mutual Fund lost today while all other sectors ended green. Non-Life Insurance gained the most 2.88% while Mutual Fund lost the most 0.33%.
