NEPSE registers marginal gain of 1.69 points; settles at 1,394.73 points with minimal turnover of Rs 26.15 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has risen slightly today by 1.69 points or 0.12% to close at 1,394.73 points.
The only local borse of the country had opened at 1,393.04 points and was seen fluctuating throughout the day without any significant gains or declines and the index ultimately ended in the green zone.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 26.15 crore where more than 9.38 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,206 transactions.
Promoter shares of Nepal Finance Limited (NFSPO) stood ahead both in terms of total turnover and total traded shares for the day with the value of its total transactions exceeding Rs 3.54 crore and over 3.51 lakh unit of its scrips exchanging their ownership respectively.
Scrips of Everest Insurance Company Limited (EIC) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 5.64% to Rs 1,649. On the other hand, shares of Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by 5.80% to Rs 1185.
Both the Sensitive and float index went up today by 0.36 points and 0.19 points respectively.
The indices of 3 trading groups i.e. Finance, microfinance and trading and manufacturing showed a downward movement and landed in red today. Manufacturing sector that lost 26.2 points stood as the top loser which was followed by microfinance sector. Insurance sector however gained 16.13 points which saw it landed in green making it the most profitable sector for the day.
