NEPSE Records Second Consecutive Drop, Falls 47.71 Points

NEPSE witness another strong fall today in the second trading day of the week despite new government formation and new policies in the line to re-structure market.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a massive loss today, loosing by 47.71 points (1.65%) to settle at 2,831.39.
The benchmark index opened at 2,881.98, touching an intraday high of 2,891.53, while the lowest point was 2,821.82. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 12.96 Arba, with 31,606,717 shares traded across 341 companies through 159,328 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.13 arba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.26 Kharba.

RIDI Power Company Limited (RIDI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 68.41 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 378.20.

Five companies hit the upper circuit that includes RSML, BJHL, RLEL, HFIN and SKHL.

Meanwhile, Solu Hydropower Limited recorded the Highest drop, falling 7.79% and it's last trading price is Rs. 675.

Most of the sector falls more than 1% and highest drop is recorded in Trading index falling by 2.56%, or 103.86 points.
