NEPSE records minimal gain to end the week; Market closes at 1,161.63 points with Chautari Laghubitta being the top gainer

The local bourse at Nepal Stock Exchange has recorded a gain of 1.04 points to end the last trading day of the week. The market which had started at 1,160.39 points gained 1.04 points to close at 1,161.63 points.
During the day, 9,07,314 unit shares were traded to report a total turnover of Rs 27.33 crore. Shares of 168 listed companies were traded through 5,313 transactions.
Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) was the top stock based on turnover as shares worth Rs 3.96 crore were traded during the day. Similarly, Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) was the top stock based on units traded as 83,921 units were traded during the day.
Chautari Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CHLBS) was the top gainer for the day as the price of the stock increased by 20 pints and its LTP stood at Rs 258. However, City Express Finance Limited (CEFL) was the top loser for the day as the stock lost 12 points and its LTP stood at Rs 111.
Both sensitive index and float index increased by 0.05 points and 0.02 points respectively.
Out of the 11 sub-indices, Life Insurance sector lost the most during the day’s trade which was closely followed by Non-Life Insurance sector. Manufacturing and Production was the top gaining sector for the day gaining 18.02 points.
