NEPSE RALLIES 3RD DAY STRAIGHT

Following the back to back surge within the past two days, the investors’ confidence also seems to be building towards the market as the local bourse for the third straight day also increased. With the reassuring news from the SEBON regarding no overflow of shares in the market because of news provision and publication of healthy third quarterly report of the companies have helped to recoup the market from weeks of downfall. The benchmark index today surged by 3.91 points to close at 494.49 points.
Altogether there were trades of seven sectors among which Hotels and Finance suffered loss of 8.13 and 0.33 points. Whereas two of the remaining Banking and Financial Institutions sub-indices, Banking inclined by 5.61 points and Development gained 0.67 points. Similarly, Hydro made jump of 8.67 points and Insurance rallied by hefty 16.9 points. As for Others sector, it remain intact at 628.57 points.
Overall, there were only 81 scrip traded among which 48 scrip increased 16 remained intact and 17 scrip decreased. The highest gainer for the day was, Arun Finance Limited (ARUN), closed at Rs 33.91, with Rs 3 or 9.99% gain. Whereas, Tourism Development Bank Ltd. (TDBL), closed at Rs 84, was the highest loser with Rs 8 or 8.70% loss.
Among the ordinary scrip trading above the par, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 300, was the highest gainer with Rs 25 or 9.09% gain whereas, NIDC Capital Markets Ltd. (NCM), closed at Rs 114, was the tope loser with Rs 4 or 3.39% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 11.01, topped with 129,726 units whereas among ordinary scrip above par, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB) topped with 23,188 units.
In terms of highest turnover, Nabil Bank Ltd., closed at Rs 1695, topped with 9,162 worth Rs 15,505,058 via 45 transactions; in which Broker no 16 (Primo Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active Broker with 52.37% stand-alone dealing of NABIL, tallying 9,600 units worth Rs 16,241,100 via 37 transactions which includes 2 matching transactions totaling 1,100 units worth Rs 1,860,000.
Altogether there were trade of 371,360 units of share via 864 transactions worth Rs 85,738,109; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 486,008.10 Millions.
